Woman succumbs to burns

CHENNAI: A housewife, who suffered burns while cooking, died at the Kilpauk Medical College and Hospital here on Monday. Police said P. Kumari (30) of Bangaru Street in Ayanavaram was working in the kitchen when the stove burst on September 26. Family members and neighbours tried to her rescue. But she received serious burns.

An enquiry by the Revenue Divisional Officer has been ordered. The Ayanavaram police are investigating.
