Seven sustain burns

Staff Reporter

Tirupur: Seven persons in a household sustained burns in an accidental fire at Avinashi in the early hours on Monday.

The police said the fire broke out after Revathy (30), wife of Nagaraj, tried to light the gas stove at 4 a.m.

Owing to a leak in the LPG connection, fire spread all over the room.

Revathy, Nagaraj and five of their kin were later admitted to a private hospital in Coimbatore with severe burn injuries.

The Avinashi police have registered a case.

Investigations are on.
