Elders Day celebrated

COIMBATORE: “Children must ensure that their parents are taken care of well in their last days,” J. Chandrakumar, Sub-collector, Pollachi, has said.

Inaugurating the Elders’ Day celebrations organised by Preetham Senior Citizens Retirement Community Centre, Pollachi, he said, the younger generation should learn the values of life from senior citizens. John Jayaraj, head of the Pensioners Association of Pollachi attended the function. He handed over a donation for the children of Sharanalayam to N. Vanitha, chairperson of Sharanalayam and Preetham.
