Held for credit card fraud

CHENNAI: A suspect who obtained a credit card in the name of a woman and cheated her of Rs.69,000 was arrested here on Monday.

Police said Vijaya Bharathi (34) of Ambattur had lodged a complaint that someone had misused a credit card that was issued in her name without her knowledge.

Chennai Suburban Commissioner of Police, S.R. Jangid formed a special team of the Cyber Crime Cell to investigate the case. The team arrested Albin Jayakumar (28) of Nanganallur who confessed to have used the data of Ms. Bharathi to obtain a credit card in a private bank.
