VILLUPURAM: It has been conclusively proved that Marikolundu of the Narikoravas colony at Neelamangalam in the Kallakurichi block fell victim to the tsunami at Nagapattinam where she went on December 26, 2004.

Following the government guidelines to establish her identity and to confirm her death, Collector R. Palanisamy gave away Rs. 1 lakh in compensation to her son Dhanakoti here on Monday. – Special Correspondent
