Beijing: At least 30 people were killed and scores injured when a strong earthquake measuring 6.6 on the Richter Scale struck Lhasa, capital of Tibet and adjoining areas on Monday, said the local government. Rrescuers have rushed to the scene to save victims buried under rubbles of houses collapsed in the quake which hit the area at 4:30 p.m. (2 p.m. IST). The epicentre was Gedar township of Damxung County. — PTI
