Lakshmanan presents National Bar Award

New Delhi: Law Commission Chairman A.R. Lakshmanan presented the ‘National Bar Award,’ instituted by the All India Bar Association, here on Monday to eminent lawyers and legal correspondents of the print and electronic media in recognition of their outstanding contribution in their fields.

The awardees included J. Venkatesan, Legal Correspondent, The Hindu; Anmol Rattan Sidhu, senior advocate; Kochhar and Co., legal consultants through Rohit Kochhar; Sanjay Jain, senior advocate; Darshanand Gour, joint general secretary, Bar Association of India; C.B. Varma, G. Venkatesh Rao and Manoj Goel, Supreme Court advocates; O.P. Saxena, president, All-India Lawyers Forum for Civil Liberties; Alok Krishna Agarwal, Editor-in-Chief, Lawz Magazine; Mukund Sarda, Dean and Principal, New Law College, B.V. University, Pune; Kumar Rajesh, Editor Consultant, Live India TV; A. Subramani, Assistant Editor, The Times of India (Chennai); Sumit Nagpal, Special Correspondent, News X TV; Vivek Varshney, Principal Correspondent, Nav Bharat Times; and Satya Prakash, Legal Editor, Hindustan Times.
