Kozhikode: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and the former Union Minister O. Rajagopal has said that the “obsessive efforts” of the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government to sign the Indo-U.S. nuclear deal in a hurry show that the Congress party will make a huge financial gain from U.S. companies, which will expectedly benefit from the deal. He was delivering a talk on the ‘nuclear deal and India’ at the Calicut Bar Association (CBA) hall here on Monday. The talk was organised the Calicut Bar Association. Mr. Rajagopal said that the doubt became stronger when one saw the “unusual hurry” of the government to sign the deal even before it was adequately discussed in Parliament. — Staff Reporter
