Good response to expo

SALEM: Over seven lakh people visited Salem government exhibition 2008 which concluded here on Sunday. The Government earned Rs. 33.71 lakh from the exhibition.

The event, which began in July 26, had 130 stalls of various government departments, government organisations and private establishments.

Self help groups had also exhibited their products . Cultural programmes and competitions were conducted and winners were given prizes.

Awards for the best stalls were presented during the valedictory of the exhibition held on Sunday.
