Mohan to meet Atit

KOCHI: Ernakulam’s Mohan George will clash with his District-mate Atit B. Shah in both the billiards and snooker finals of the State senior championship at the Regional Sports Centre here. The host club’s Mohan George defeated Ashok Mahawar 4-0 while defending champion Atit of Coronation Club crushed his club-mate Viraj Ruparel by a similar margin.

The results: Snooker: Semifinals: Mohan Geoge (RSC, Ekm) bt Ashok Mahawar (Coronation, Mattancherry) 54-32, 56-35, 55-33, 75-21; Atit B. Shah (Coronation) bt Viraj Ruparel (Coronation) 53-42, 49-40, 50-36, 55-12.

Quarterfinals: Ashok Mahawar bt P.Vinod (RSC) 46-38, 44-53, 38-9; Mohan George bt Anil Kuruvilla (Ktm YMCA) 56-16, 65-20, 44-10; Viraj bt Joseph Mathew (Lotus) 46-33, 41-22, 55-35.
