SN Trust takes honours

THRISSUR: SN Trust, Kollam won the title in the women’s section of the 3rd Geonair all-India basketball tournament here on Sunday. SN Trust scored an easy 47-17 win over St. Mary’s College, Thrissur and finished unbeaten in the four-team league. Host Kerala Varma College along with Mar Ivanios College (Thiruvananthapuram), Sathyabhama University (Chennai) and MCC (Kozhikode) qualified for the semifinals in the men’s section.

The Mahatma Gandhi University inter-Collegiate swimming championship begins at the St. Thomas College in Pala on Monday. Around 100 swimmers will figure in the two-day event. St, Thomas College men and Alphonsa College women, also from Pala, won the team titles last year.
