Bomb hoax at Gurgaon’s Ambiance mall

Gurgaon: A mall here had to be evacuated on Sunday evening following a call about a bomb being planted inside it but nothing was found.

Joint Commissioner of Police Manjeet Singh Ahlawat said a person called the Gurgaon police control room around 7.30 pm and claimed that the bomb has been planted at the Ambiance Mall. Police rushed to the spot with the bomb disposal squad and asked people to vacate the place. An intensive search was carried out but nothing was found, he said.

Meanwhile, two persons were arrested on Sunday for allegedly making a hoax call to the police on Saturday night saying the Rajiv crossing in the heart of the town would be blown up. Dharmendra and Hansraj, who jointly run a hardware shop, were arrested after the police traced the mobile number used for making the call.

The duo were produced before a local court on Sunday .
