Four policemen chosen for medal

CHENNAI: The government has announced ‘Gandhi Adigal Police Medal’ for four police personnel in the State for their work in curtailing illicit liquor in 2008.
S.Pe. Murukesun, Additional Superintendent of Police, Prohibition Enforcement Wing, Cuddalore district; D. Mahendravarnam, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Cheyyar Sub-Division, Tiruvannamalai district; B. Kumar, Sub-Inspector of Police, Villupuram Town; and R. Ravi, Sub-Inspector of Police, PEW, Madhuranthagam, Kancheepuram district, would be given the medal and a cash prize of Rs. 20,000 by Chief Minister on the Republic Day, next year.
