Protest resignations in TDP minority cell

Special Correspondent

VISAKHAPATNAM: The stoning of car and ransacking the premises of CMA Zaheer Ahmed in the aftermath of his quitting the post of the president of Telugu Desam Party urban district, has triggered protest resignations of several office-bearers of the TDP minority cell.General secretary Syed Zakriya, vice-president Syed Rahman, treasurer Mohammed Ather, organising secretaries A. Rahaman and Jamal Sheriff of the TDP district minority cell, besides general secretary of 25th Ward urban district unit Abdul Hanif, faxed their resignations to TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday.

They said it was unfortunate that when a minority leader quit the post for personal reasons, some Telugu Desam leaders with hired goons had unleashed terror.
