Arjun Yadav to lead

HYDERABAD: N. Arjun Yadav will lead Hyderabad in the practice matches to be played in Visakhapatnam from October 14. All the players are to report to the coach at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium (Uppal) from October 6.

B. Varun defeated Aditya 6-5 (7-5) in the boys under-9 first round of the AP State Open junior tennis tournament at Ganesh Raman Tennis Academy here.

V. E. Sundeep Rajan will lead Hyderabad in the South Zone inter-State under-19 cricket tournament to be held in Visakhapatnam from October 20 to 26.

Andhra XI restricted Kerala XI to 136 in 52.3 overs in the u-16 practice match held at Siddhartha Medical College grounds here on Sunday. Medium pacer Ayyappa’s four-wicket haul was the highlight of the day. Andhra declared its second innings at 174 to set Kerala a target of 349 for a win

The scores: Andhra XI 310 and 174 for four in 40 overs (K. Rajeev 41 n.o.) vs. Kerala XI 136 in 52.3 overs (Ayyappa four for 40).
