HYDERABAD: Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy has directed officials of the Higher and Collegiate Education departments to prepare a comprehensive action plan so that the students get ready employment once they pass their respective courses.

“Barring those who plan to pursue higher education, others should be in a position to get a job once they step out of their institutions,” Dr. Reddy said while reviewing the job potential for higher education students here on Sunday.

He said the action plan would be implemented in future by involving the Jawahar Knowledge Centres, Rajiv Udyogasri Mission and Department of Education.

He directed officials to set up English labs for students to learn English and other professional training institutes saying there would be no dearth of funds for such activities.

Dr. Reddy said there was no meaning in creating graduates and diploma holders without providing them jobs. “There should be no unemployed educated youth in the State in next two to three years,” he said.
