‘BJP committed to separate Telangana’

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: Senior BJP leader and MP Yashwant Sinha on Sunday reiterated that a separate Telangana State would be carved out only if the BJP-led NDA returned to power.

He told a press conference here that the Telangana Sankalp Yatras organised by the party were a great success because people felt that only a national party could solve their problems. Charging the Congress with cheating people by not fulfilling its promises, he said, “We are committed to creation of separate Telangana State.”

Referring to weavers’ suicides in the State, he urged both the Centre and the State to pay urgent attention to their plight, thus preventing their deaths.
