Tremendous Response: Visitors going round The Hindu-Eenadu Lifestyle Show in Visakhapatnam on Sunday. — VISAKHAPATNAM: The concept of experiencing ‘shopping under one-roof’ appears to have appealed to the Vizagites at the ongoing five-day The Hindu-Eenadu Lifestyle show, being held at the Andhra University Engineering College Grounds. Into its fourth day, and the crowd seems to swell with every passing day. The atmosphere is festive and the people look like relishing every bit of it. “The idea of housing everything, right from real estates to furnishing and from automobiles to consumer durables is exciting. The ambience is lovely and you can spend a couple of hours by just visiting the stalls,” says A.M. Sherikar, who had come along with is family. Shalini Rao also had a similar view. “What’s stirring is the display of various brands at one place. You have the time and choice to make your decision and purchases. Moreover, the latest models have been showcased here,” she adds. Despite being high-end products, people seem to flock to the automobile stalls to get a feel of the latest models. Leela Krishna Toyota has displayed a cream coloured Altis, the latest in the Toyota stable. Avnash Motors has showcased the trendy Alto and the latest model of Zen Estilo. The latest version of Santro (LPG), Verna and I10 adorn the Lakshmi Hyundai stall. SRMIT has exhibited the Indica Vista and Sumo Grande the latest from the Tata Motors. People can also get a feel of the high-end features of Chevrolet Spark and Chevrolet Aveo at the Orange Auto stall. Competing with the MNCs is the Sonalika group of tractors with their Rhino Rx sports utility vehicles. Two of the three variants of Rhino have been kept on display. A representative of the Sri Vijaya Saptagiri Motors, dealers for Rhino, say that the SUVs are built indigenously with technical collaboration from the UK-based MG Rovers. AccessoriesThe automobile segment is complete with the display of accessories by Xenos. The Coimbatore based company has showcased all types of accessories like central locking systems, different versions of MP3 players, speaker and woofers, DVD players and monitors for four wheelers. “It’s been a great brand building exercise for us, here at the show. People have come across the models that are in vogue in the international markets, and we could build a huge data bank,” said Mr. Satyanarayana of Xenos. While Samsung is the presenting sponsor, the co-sponsors of the event are HP, Compaq, Sun DTH Services, Agrigold and Jayaraj International Private Limited The hospitality partner is The Gateway Hotel, food partner is Fusion Foods, Water partner is Bisleri, channel partner is Etv2 and Radio partner is 93.5 SFM.
