TMMK cadres taken into custody

Special Correspondent

CHENNAI: Nearly 150 cadres of the Tamil Nadu Muslim Munnetra Kazhagam were taken into custody at Neelankarai on Friday.

They had staged a demonstration in front of the station, accusing the police of harassing a father and his four sons before remanding them to judicial custody in connection with a case. Even as senior police officers tried to pacify the agitators, they refused to budge. Those arrested were later released.
