Another feather in VPT’s cap

VISAKHAPATNAM: The Visakhapatnam Port has established an all time record in unloading of super phosphate in bulk in a day.

A quantity of 10,215 tonne with a gang shift output of 851 tonne of super phosphate in bulk was discharged in a day on Sept. 29 from m.v. Ocean Leader at EQ-7, surpassing the previous best discharge of 9,200 tonne with a gang shift output of 767 tonne on August 5, 2008 from m.v. Pacific Bangjiang. The cargo was imported by Indian Potash Limited, Chennai. Gangireddy Shipping is the stevedore and GAC Shipping (India) Pvt. Ltd. is the steamer agent for m.v. Ocean Leader.
