CHICKBALLAPUR: The Gudibande police in Chickballapur district have arrested a four-member gang on charges of theft and recovered from it steel worth Rs. 1.5 lakh.

The police said the accused had stolen the steel sheets from the National Highway-7 in the district, which is being widened into an eight-lane road.

In another case, the Chickballapur police arrested Nagaraj of Vemagal in Kolar district on charges of chain snatching and robbery and recovered from him four gold chains and two mobile phones worth Rs. 1.75 lakh. — Special Correspondent
