VIJAYAWADA: Secretary’s XI piled up 285 in 88 overs against President’s XI in the three-day ACA under-14 selection match at RDT Sports Village at Anantapur on Friday. Facing a deficit of 81 runs, President’s XI was 24 for two at the end of the second’s play. The scores: President’s XI, 194 and 24 for two in 17 overs vs. Secretary’s XI 285 in 88 overs (Jayawardane 78, Ashwin Hebbar 77, Manoj Kumar five for 42, Rambabu five for 92). Big wins for ASN, SMKASN College outplayed JMJ College 17-2, while Siddhartha Mahila Kalasala scored an emphatic 18-2 victory over Koneru Lakshmaiah College of Engineering (KLCE) in the league matches of the three-day Acharya Nagarjuna University inter-collegiate handball tournament for women here on Friday. Earlier, KLCE defeated Duggirala’s Dr. K.R.R Degree College 3-1 to enter the league. Athletic meet postponedAP State junior athletic meet, which was scheduled to be held at Guntur from October 6 to 8, has been postponed to October 29 to 31. The meet will be held at Police Parade grounds.
