Van der Sar returns to Dutch squad

AMSTERDAM: Manchester United goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar has come out of international retirement to join the Netherlands squad for World Cup qualifiers against Iceland and Norway.

The 37-year-old Van der Sar was selected on Friday in the 22-player squad with first-choice Maarten Stekelenburg out for up to six weeks due to a shoulder injury. — AP
