Additional funds for C’wealth Games

NEW DELHI: The Union Government on Friday approved additional funds of Rs 43.50 crore for the conduct of the Commonwealth Youth Games in Pune from October 12 to 18.

The Government had earlier approved an expenditure budget of Rs. 767.00 crores, as loan to Organising Committee of 2010 Commonwealth Games, out of which an amount of Rs 66.55 crore was meant for the Youth Games.

The Organising Committee had since presented revised estimates for the Youth Games. — Special Correspondent
