KASARAGOD: Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd. (BSNL) is organising a ‘BSNL Mela,’ an exhibition-cum-sale of its services and products, at Kasaragod Telephone Bhavan here on October 6 and 7. At a press conference here on Friday, divisional engineer Sukumaran said the mela would begin at 10 a.m. on both days and would close at 7 p.m. Manjeswaram MLA C.H. Kunhambu would officially inaugurate the mela on October 6. Kasaragod municipal chairperson Befathima Ibrahim would perform the first sale. Opposition leader in the municipality P. Ramesh would perform the second sale. BSNL officials said the mela was being organised for customers under various exchanges in Kasaragod taluk. Pre-paid and post-paid mobile connections under various schemes of the BSNL would be available to customers at the mela. Applications for broadband connections would be accepted. Broadband connection on purchase of a computer from Hindustan Computers Ltd. (HCL) would also be facilitated at the mela. Arrangements for redressing consumer grievance would also be made. Consumers could avail themselves of reconnection of disconnected telephones under attractive terms at the mela. BSNL Kannur SSA general manager S.S. Thampy would be present throughout the mela.
