Sreesanth continues to be at NCA

Bangalore: S. Sreesanth, who was named as part of the Board President’s XI squad for the match against Australia in progress at Hyderabad, however continued to be at the National Cricket Academy as a lower back strain forced him to extend his rehabilitation stint.

Sreesanth earlier was nursing a side strain and after successfully undergoing a rehabilitation stint, was considered fit for the match against the Aussies but a niggle he picked up during the recent KSCA diamond jubilee tournament forced him to be on the sidelines.

The seamer is expected to be at the academy for some more time with the physical conditioning duo of Paul Close and Paul Chapman keeping a close watch on his progress. — Principal Correspondent
