Second leg of Citi World golf on Oct. 4

BANGALORE: Bangalore will host the second leg of the Citi World golfer’s championship on October 4. This four-city amateur golf event will also mark India’s debut in the World golfer’s championship.

The tournament would see Citigold Select and Citi Private Bank clients, teeing off at the Eagleton Golf Resort.

The inaugural leg of the championship was held in Delhi on September 27. Bangalore is hosting the second regional round. This will be followed by two more regional rounds — in Kolkata on October 18 and Mumbai on November 2.

The grand finale

The regional winners will progress to the Grande Finale to be held in Amby Valley, Mumbai, on November 3.

The five championship winners from the national qualifiers will go on to represent India as a team, as well as individually, in the world final at Mission Inn Resort & Club in Orlando, Florida, later in November this year. — Special Correspondent
