For health: Fashion show held for ‘Pink Ribbon Evening’ on Wednesday.

HYDERABAD: It was a powerful message from two women, who survived breast cancer that inspired and apparently changed perceptions of the gathering towards cancer at the ‘Pink Ribbon Evening’, to mark the beginning of ‘Breast Cancer Awareness Month’ celebrations at Hotel Mariott here on Wednesday.

Shunning secrecy and hesitation normally associated with breast cancer, renowned dancer Ananda Shankar Jayant and Dr.(Capt) Ritu Biyani Joseph , chose to share their journey through fighting the disease successfully with mental strength and carrying on with their life and passions as ever. They urged women to be aware of breast cancer symptoms. A vibrant fashion show was another attraction on the occasion.
