THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: VPSHSS (Venganoor) defeated Marygiri EMHS (Kodapannakunnu) by 23 runs to enter the semifinals of the TDCA under-16 inter-school cricket tournament for the B. Mohan Kumar Memorial Trophy here on Wednesday.

Man-of-the-match, Shinu Raj wrecked Marygiri with five for 34.

The scores: VPSHSS (Venganoor) 151 in 26.1 overs (R.O. Vishnu 34) bt Marygiri 128 in 25.1 overs (U.S. Ujwal 31, Shinu Raj five for 34).
