Ganguly predicts a tough series

KOLKATA: The former India captain, Sourav Ganguly, predicted a tough series against Australia.

Interacting with media after meeting the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) President, Jagmohan Dalmiya, for the first time after the latter was re-elected, Ganguly said the series would be a tough one and the Indians would have to fight really hard to win it.

“It will be a tough series. India will have to fight hard,” he said. Ganguly, on Wednesday, was named in the Indian Test squad for the first two matches.

To a question whether it was a compromise formula adopted by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to include him in the 15-man squad for the first two Tests against Australia, Ganguly dismissed any such notion. — Special Correspondent
