SE Forge gets equity funding

CHENNAI: SE Forge, a subsidiary of Suzlon Energy, has raised equity investment of Rs. 400 crore from IDFC Private Equity, says a release. The company is setting up one of the largest foundry and foring capacities in the world to cater to the growing wind energy sector. It has established two facilities — a 1.20 lakh tonne foundry uit in Coimbatore and a 42,000 rings annually ring-rolling forging facility in Vadodara. The company intends to use the equity investment to fund these Greenfield capacities.— Corporate Reporter.
