BELLARY: Two persons have been cheated of cash totalling Rs. 4 lakh here on Wednesday. Superintendent of Police Seemant Kumar Singh told presspersons that T.K. Desai, a contractor, along with another person, was travelling in his car with the cash, withdrawn from Corporation Bank. At H.R.G. Circle, two youngsters who were riding a motorcycle, told them that their fuel tank was leaking. Mr. Desai immediately stopped the car and came out along with his friend to check the under-chassis. But, by then, a small boy took away the cash bag and escaped. On being informed of the loss, the police conducted a brief search of the area, but in vain. The Brucepet police have registered a case. — Staff Correspondent
