Navaratri fete

KOCHI: The Navaratri celebrations at the Chottanikkara Devi Temple began on Tuesday. Musician Sharat inaugurated the cultural programmes. Cochin Devaswom Board member K.K. Mohanan presided over the function. The English version of the book on the deity written by Balakrishna Pillai was also released. Kathakali artistes were also honoured. Member of Cochin Devaswom Board and advisory committee president K. P. Gopinath spoke on the occasion. — Staff Reporter
