Motihari: Charas worth Rs.1 crore have been seized from a car and two persons, including a 70-year-old woman, arrested by Directorate of Revenue Intelligence and Sashastra Seema Bal officials at Raxaul town on Indo-Nepal border in East Champaran district. Acting on specific information, the joint team intercepted a car at Raxaul main market and seized 95 kg of the cannabis concealed under a seat of the vehicle, SSB Assistant Commandant Lokesh Kumar and DRI Inspector S K Satyarthi, who led the operation, said. The old woman identified as Bachchi Devi and a man, Sajid Khan, who were travelling by the car, were arrested under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (Prohibition) Act.
