Register names, tribals told
KRISHNAGIRI: The government has formed a Tribal Welfare Board to implement various social welfare schemes of the State and Union Governments.
Tribals residing in Krishnagiri district have been asked to register their names with the board to avail of the schemes. Those who are already members in other welfare boards are not eligible to become a member in Tribal Welfare Board.
Interested persons can approach the Village Administrative Officers or Special Tahsildars (Adi Dravidar Welfare), Krishnagiri or District Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Officer, Krishnagiri in person or through post.
Applicants are advised to enclose a copy of their ration card and community certificate, according to a press release issued here on Wednesday.
