Special feast for prison inmates

CHENNAI: As a special feast for Id-ul-Fitr, the State Prison Department will provide ‘biryani’ to inmates of all Central Prisons on Wednesday. While the Tamil Nadu Muslim Munnetra Kazhagam has volunteered to sponsor ‘biryani’ to 1,300 prisoners in the Vellore Central Prison, the government would arrange the feast in other prisons, Director-General of Prisons R. Natraj said.
