Sivagangai, Kanyakumari in last four

Udhagamandalam: Sivagangai and Kanyakumari entered the semifinals of the third under-13 State football championship for boys for the Rtn. PHF G.S. Rolling Trophy at the HADP Open Air Stadium here on Tuesday.

Sivangangai thrashed Chennai 8-1, while Kanyakumari scored a hard fought 4-3 win over Madurai.

The results: Quarterfinals: Sivangangai 8 bt Chennai 1; Kanyakumari 4 bt Madurai 3. Pre-quarterfinals: Thiruvallur 4 bt Pudukottai 2; Erode 3 bt Dindigul 1; Kancheepuram 3 bt Cuddalore 0; Nilgiris 3 bt Tirunelveli 1.
