Two sentenced to life

Tirupur: A fast track court here on Tuesday sentenced M Jaya (30) and Ramkumar (22) to life imprisonment for murdering Pappamal (65).

The duo strangulated Pappammal to death at Palaikadu here on February 27, 2006, and escaped with jewellery from her house. Pappammal and the accused were staying in houses within the same compound.

The North police investigated the case.
