Tirupur: Members of Communist Party of India, led by K. Subbarayan, MP, staged a demonstration in front of the Corporation office here on Tuesday. They demanded the arrest of the accused involved in the recent attack on minorities in Orissa, Karnataka, Gujarat and few other states.

The agitators urged the Centre to take steps to provide adequate protection to the citizens from the communal and non-secular forces.

They termed the eruption of violence on nuns and priests in Orissa as “sad”.
