Ration rice seized

VIRUDHUNAGAR: Revenue officials seized 135 bags of ration rice while being smuggled in a truck near Azhagapuri on Tuesday.

Police sources said that the driver, Mani, was arrested. The officials intercepted the lorry when it was taking the 10,125 kg of rice from Dhalavaipuram to Palakkad in Kerala. The rice has been handed over to the Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corporation.
