Ghorpade, Rayomand to represent India

Chennai: Parth Ghorpade from Kolhapur and Chennai’s Rayomand Banajee will represent India in the Rotax Max World finals to take place in Italy in November. Both karters will get a chance to compete with 167 others from 37 countries, after they had the maximum overall championship points on the conclusion of the final round of the JK Tyre Rotax Max Karting Challenge 2008 at Kolhapur on Sunday.

The results: Micro Max (15 laps): 1. Arjun Mani 15:17.237, 2. Dhruv Mohite 15:39.335, 3. Khus Mani 15:43.666. Seniors (25 laps): 1. Ameya Walavalkar 23:15.475, 2. Ronak Patel 23:35.805, 3. Karan Goenka 23:42.282. Juniors (20 laps): 1. Chitesh Mandody 18:33.250, 2. Samyak Shah 18:38.519, 3. Parth Ghorpade 18:46.325.

Overall standings: Seniors: 1.Rayomand Banajee (412 points), 2. Ronak Patel (399), 3. Karan Goenka (397), 4. Ameya Walavalkar (375) Juniors: 1. Parth Ghorpade (430), 2. Samyak Shah (421), 3. Chitesh Mandody (415).
