New Chairman for leasing association

CHENNAI: V. P. Nandakumar, Chairman, Manappuram group of companies, has been appointed Chairman of Equipment Leasing Association of India (ELAI). ELAI, which functions with its headquarters in Chennai, is a body of the non-banking finance companies (NBFCs) which are registered with the Reserve Bank of India. Through this appointment, Mr. Nandakumar will also be on the Committee of Finance and Industry Development Council (FIDC), an all-India self-regulatory organisation of those NBFCs registered with the RBI and authorised to accept public deposits.
