A moment to cherish
Bangalore: The Karnataka under-22 cricket team led by Ganesh Satish had a moment to cherish when Anil Kumble and Rahul Dravid handed them their State caps at a function on the sidelines of the Indian probables’ preparatory camp at the Chinnaswamy Stadium here on Monday afternoon.
The team will compete in the Col. C.K. Nayudu Trophy South Zone cricket tournament at Chennai from October 1.
Kumble spoke about the need to play with pride while donning Karnataka colours and Dravid asked the players to utilise the opportunity to try and break into the State’s Ranji squad.
Meanwhile coach Mansur Ali Khan said that his team was a strong outfit and could well retain its South Zone title after having won it last year.
