SIB Excellence Award

KOCHI: Five globally acclaimed personalities have been selected for the ‘SIB Excellence Award’ for life-time achievement.

“The award goes to these outstanding personalities for transforming and impacting the lives of millions of Indians and helping India emerge stronger in various fields. And the winners are: Varghese Kurien, Adoor Gopalakrishnan, K.J. Yesudas, Yusuff Ali M.A. and Dr. K.M. Cherian, said V.A. Joseph, chairman and CEO of South Indian Bank.

The award winners would be presented a citation, a memento and a cash award of Rs. 1,00,000 each. The award ceremony would be held as part of the 80th anniversary celebrations of the bank. Executive directors of the bank – M.Valsan and H. Suresh Prabhu, deputy general manager and regional head, P.J. Ouseph and corporate communications manager M.J. Simon were present at the announcement ceremony here. — Special Correspondent
