HYDERABAD: Pinky Anand, BJP National Legal Cell convener, stressed here on Sunday that stringent laws to fight terrorism would ensure speedy trial and punishment to culprits.

The eminent lawyer ridiculed the UPA’s promise of ‘roti, kapada aur makaan’ to people and wondered how it could be implemented in the absence of security.
She referred to Saturday’s blast in New Delhi in which two persons were killed. Ms. Anand assured the gathering that the BJP-led NDA soon after it is voted to power would revive POTA.
N. Indrasena Reddy, party’s national secretary, and G. Kishan Reddy, MLA, and. N. Ramchander Rao, national joint convener of the cell, spoke.
