State urged to extend kharif loan deadline

HYDERABAD: The AP Rythu Sangham has demanded extension of 2008 kharif loans till October, as banks have so far been able to cover only one-third of the estimated target of Rs.14,000 crore. If the target was to be achieved the deadline had to be extended, said V. Subba Rao, president, and S. Rama Rao, general secretary, here on Sunday. –Special Correspondent
