DSA’s ‘B’ division league from Oct. 3

NEW DELHI: Twenty affiliated teams will participate in the Delhi Soccer Association (DSA) annual ‘B’ Division open clubs football league championship from October 3 at the Ambedkar Stadium and Air Force grounds.

The grouping of the participating teams was decided at the club secretaries meeting held on Wednesday.

The top two teams from each group will qualify for the super league which will be played on a round-robin basis. The top two finishers in the super league will be promoted to ‘A’ division next year.

The groupings of the ‘A’ division league will be decided in the second week of October only after Delhi Police and Raisina Sporting Union Club confirm their participation.

The groupings: Group ‘A’: Glorious, Shakti, Punjab Heroes, South India, Gulabi Bagh, New Friends and Venus; Group ‘B’: Hans, Victory, Dwarka, Lodhi AC, Columbas and YBA; Group ‘C’: Delhi Tigers, Golden Star, Ashoka, Collegian, Goans, Young Sports and Delhi Students.
