Innings win for City
CHENNAI: D. Kamakshi and N. Niranjana starred as City registered an innings victory over Combined Districts on day two of the two-day women’s cricket match here on Friday.
Kamakshi took four for 27 forcing Combined Districts, resuming on 40 for three in response to City’s 225 for seven declared, to follow on, before Niranjana scalped four for three in the second innings.
The scores: City 225 for seven decl. bt Combined Districts 102 in 66 overs (Vandana Shree 49, D. Kamakshi four for 27) and 28 in 26.3 overs (N. Niranjana four for three).
