Tathva to begin on October 23

KOZHIKODE: The need for unconventional energy sources will be the focus of this year’s ‘Tathva,’ the annual techno-management festival of the National Institute of Technology, Calicut (NIT-C), which would be held on the NIT-C campus near here from October 23 to 26.

Tathva, in its ninth edition, offers nearly Rs.6 lakh in prizes. Competitions, workshops, exhibitions, lectures and videoconferences by some of the best minds will be the features of the event.

As part of its focus on non-conventional energy sources, Tathva is inviting any person who may have developed ingenious solutions in this field with an assurance of having it recognised by an academic intelligentsia consisting of scientists, businessmen, professors and to obtain attention of corporates.

It also gives an opportunity for students across the country to display their innovations or models as part of Junior Genius, an exhibition category solely for them to get noticed at a larger stage, a release said.
