4 suspected Maoists held with cartridges

Rourkela:Four suspected Maoists were arrested and a huge quantity of live cartridges seized from them at Biramitrapur, 30 km from here, police said on Friday.

While checking vehicles on Thursday night in connection with a firing incident, the police detained a group of five youths travelling in a car bearing Chhatisgarh registration number. The police found a huge quantity of live cartridges from their bags, the sources said.

While four of them were arrested, one managed to flee. All the four were taken to Sundargarh for interrogation. The car used by them was seized, the sources said. – PTI
